Membership Types

Service Provider

Any company substantially engaged in product assembly, installation, and repair services.

Requirements:

  • Business entity registered with the Secretary of State.
  • Comply with all applicable licensing requirements.
  • Carry general liability insurance in the minimum amount of $1,000,000.
  • Operate at all times in a professional and ethical manner.

Annual Dues: $600

Individual

Any individual currently working in, or wanting to enter, the product assembly and installation industry, but who is not offering services directly to consumers.

An Individual Membership is specifically beneficial to those who:
a) are interested in entering the industry,
b) are already in the industry as a subcontractor for a national assembly provider, and/or
c) are looking for additional work opportunities within the industry.

An Individual Membership has limited benefits.

Annual Dues: $140

Trade Supplier

Any company that supplies equipment, goods, parts, or services to Service Providers. This includes manufacturers and distributors.

A Trade Supplier Membership has limited benefits.

FAQs

Is this just another National Assembly Company?

No. National Assembly Companies (NACs) have a flawed middle-man business model.  NACs must sell a job at a competitive price, find a contractor to do the actual work, and make a profit from each transaction. This approach creates several problems, most notably that the technician doing the work is under paid. We help connect customers directly with service providers, with no need for us to take a cut of each transaction. This means more money for the service provider, and a better buying experience for the customer.

Is this a pay-per-lead service?

No. Free, unlimited leads for your service area are included with the Service Provider Membership.

Can anyone join?

Members must be substantially engaged in assembly or installation services as part of their business, or within a closely related field. Members must demonstrate ethical and professional business practices. Not all applicants will be granted membership.

How long does the application process take?

The application process generally takes just a few days once all required information has been received.

Can I pay my membership dues monthly?

At this time dues are payable on an annual basis only.

Can I display the Independent Installers Alliance logo?

As a member you will be given access to marketing material to showcase your membership with the Independent Installers Alliance. Displaying your membership badge is encouraged, as it lets potential customers know that you’re an expert in the industry.
